St. Peter Academy's Student Council sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt for students in Grades Pre-K through 3.  Each student searched for an egg which was filled with candy.  Everyone had a GREAT time!

Happy EASTER!

On Friday, the Kindergarten celebrated Dr. Seuss Day - Read Across America with a special guest.  The children were very excited when Mr. McCarthy, our principal, arrived with his Dr. Seuss hat and read The Lorax to the class.  What a great time we had!

On Monday, March 5th, we ended our celebration with green pancakes and waffles. Yum!

On Thursday, February 23, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sellen from the Life Member Club Verizon Pioneers HEH (Hackensack, Englewood, and Hudson) stopped by to bring the Kindergarten a brand new rug with a map of the United States.  They also brought the 3rd grade dictionaries to use in the classroom when they are working.  The St. Peter Academy students would like to thank all the club members for their gracious donation!

St. Peter Academy Student Council has been working extremely hard to raise money for a church in Nigeria. This church is going through very hard times, dealing with a civil war.  The church is frequently being attacked and damaged.  Fr. Jonathan, formerly of Queen of Peace parish in Maywood, is now living at that church in Nigeria.  The students raised $436 through Dress Down Days and a Bake Sale. The money will be used to buy a generator to be used during their frequent power outages.

The students are seen here talking with Fr. Jonathan in Nigeria via Skype.  He was very thankful for the funds that SPA Student Council raised.
