Library Kindergarten

                       Choosing a book for the first time can be an exciting moment for a young child.  Each week in class the children will  have a story read to them and complete an activity sheet related to the story.  We will spend time in school discussing library rules and how to take care of a book. However the children will need your help with reminders.

Please remind your child that Tuesday will be their assigned library day. This is the day that books should be returned to school. No student may check out a book if one is still outstanding . If any books are lost a fee will be charged for the cost of  a  replacement.

Learning to read for a young child is a thrilling experience. You can foster this attitude by reading to your child, and encouraging your child to look at and enjoy books. This is a memorable experience for both parents and children.
